The 'Quartet de Barcelona' (string quartet), together with
Miquel Àngel
Prieto (Sommelier), are pleased to present an original event which combines
two kinds of experiences hitherto unconnected. This recital/tasting brings
together the world of Wine and the world of Classical Music: after a brief introduction
to the wine and the music, the audience shall listen to a piece of music and be
served a glass of wine specially selected for this innovative combination.
Our combined team of music and wine works on the basis of
sensory experimentation, seeking to awaken in every individual an emotional stimulus.
To do so, we ask you to engage in an activity which involves all our senses in
real time.
By the use of the synergies which exist between
music and wine we are attempting to highlight the relationship which exists between
different musical pieces and the fruits of winemaking. This activity is rounded
off with various presentations on the criteria applied to determine the 'matchings',
as these are evidently not random associations and depend at all times on these
parameters.
Lastly, we believe this activity must be envisioned
as a collective approach to art from a personal and interactive perspective, where
every individual resorts to ways of understanding that are completely private
and unique to each one of us.
